Its hard to compare the two, the SS has SRAM Rival, and the CAAD 10 has 105. To me the 105 cant compete with Rival. I love the shifting, and the short throw of the SRAM. I also like the audible click of the SRAM.

They both perform almost the same, the SS is more responsive, but I think its cause its 4 lb. lighter. The CAAD 10 is surprisingly smooth, and removes road buzz almost the same as the SS. The only difference in the ride that I can tell is that when I ride the SS, when I go over bigger bumps in the road, it feels like the tires are low on air. They are not, its just the way the frame dampens the bumps.

My ultimate goal is to buy Force for the SS, and put the Rival on the CAAD 10. I want to go away from the 105 if I can.

I got the SS from my wife for Christmas, and I use it for a nice Sat, Sun group ride/Century bike. Then I recently sold my CAAD 8, and needed a replacement commuter, race bike and a rain, bad weather bike, so I bought the CAAD 10. I have often thought, if I had to only have one which one would it be, and my answer would have to be the CAAD 10 as long as I could swap the components over.

To me the CAAD 10 is just to versatile, and really is a "can do everything" bike, and I don't think I could have a carbon bike as my only bike. I do love my SS, and they both have their purpose.
