+1 to thinking twice about converting this to a fixie. To each his own, it's your money, and all of that. But to make such a nice, complete, original road bike and strip it of many of the things that make it a great bike would be too bad IMHO. You can buy a brand new ready to ride fixie for $200 and allow someone who would appreciate this bike for what it is really enjoy it.
