I never thought of high flange hubs as the mark of quality since all the low end Peugeots and Schwinns I saw everywhere had them. I built wheels with low flange hubs for my PX10 to differentiate it from those. It still has those Maillard 700 hubs and my PA10 has LF Campy Record.
