Just wanted to wish you good luck on your weight loss goals. I was in the same position last year. Taking up biking was the best thing that I did (and also cutting down the carbs!). Running/jogging kills my joints but biking I could do for an hour a day easy! Lost 35lb off a 220lb in about 6 months.
