My bikes uses a 27.2 Seatpost, I just put my garmin on there facing backwards.
+2 I have the Garmin bar mount that I use when training and such but I actually use the rubber band stem mount that came with my Edge 500 on the seatpost. Locks right in, turn it on and go. Problem solved.
