As long as you have that much steerer tube exposed, I'd flip the stem as I think it will look a bit better. You have the room to flip it and raise it if needed to keep the bars at the same height as they are now. The nice thing about this is down the line long after you have cut the tube, you can always flip the stem to the way you have it now and gain a bit height if needed. That's my .02.
