First timer, first possible bike... good choice?

Hi all, I posted this a while back on another e-bike forum but got no replies and only about 20 views. This forum seems to be a lot more frequented, so I'm hoping for more feedback on here...

I'm in need of an electric bike for a temporary job about 6 miles away (normally I don't drive and work from home). It can't cost more than $1,000, else it's not worth it for me to even take that job I'm 6'2 with 34" inseam (long legs) and weigh 240#, so I'm assuming I need a 26" wheel bike (I dwarf anything smaller than that). The ride would be on a flat terrain, but I live in Central California, and the temps here exceed 100 degrees pretty much every single day in the summer. The job is also a split shift (8am - noon & 5pm - 9pm), with no chance for me to change or shower once at work. So a lot of pedalling is out of the question and the battery needs to hold at least 20 - 25 miles' charge for both trips. Also, when I ride my exercise bike I routinely go over 30mph, and I know I'd be limited to 20mph on California streets. I just want to get out of the sun ASAP

So having said all that, is there a bike that will carry me, a big, tall person at those 20mph speeds at that price? I think I may have found something that meets most of the criteria at Long Beach Electric Bikes - lbelectricbikes.com - (except I'm not seeing a speedometer, light, mirror/s, and their bikes have SLA batteries) - does anyone have any experience dealing with them (customer service / bike itself?) They're a 4+ hour drive from my place, so I'm hoping someone else has at least tested the bikes... Thanks for any input!
