Nice frame. That would be a fun build. I own and ride regularly two SV 980 framed Peugeots, both 60 cm.
My '86 Triathlon has the braze-ons for the tool-kit under the down tube. I can't tell from the pics but if yours have them it may indicate it is a variation of the Triathlon.
Frame construction/lugs/pump peg looks identical to my '86, except for the painted rather than chromed fork. I would agree 1988.
