Dont mean to Hi-jack the posters thread but and i know this might seem a bit late...but for anyone else not quite sure how to do this mod here is how i did it...the bearing puller was cheap (about US$30) and doesnt put any force through the plastic threaded cap nor does risk damaging the bearings. sorry the vid is a bit slow and boring.
