This is my lightly loaded Marin Four Corners Touring Bike. I don't think I'll ever ride it much more laden than this (with the exception of more food) because I'm also a backpacker; all my gear is very light, compact, and transitions between backpacking and touring very well. I've modified the cockpit drastically since this photo. Now the bike has bull-bars and Paul Reverse Levers which allowed me to switch over to v-brakes instead of cantis (which I hated for many reasons). This photo was taken on a short two-day ride around Lake Tahoe with my wife. This was my first time to Tahoe and I highly recommend riding around it. Two-days is very leisurely as the whole trip around the lake is only 70 miles or so, allowing much time to stop along the shore and take in the views and relax. There is just one "bike-in/walk-in" campground around the lake which we did use.
