Hi Mark - hearty congratulations on your daughter's wedding! I'll definitely give the Wednesday ride a shot. I'm planning to pick up the rental from Incycle that afternoon. I'm also interested in spectating at one of those Rose Bowl rides, so maybe I'll see you go by (quickly) on Thursday too.
Bring your bike to the Rose Bowl. Lots of other riders are on the road at the same time as us. Sometime's, there's shouting, but that's just us shouting to ourselves to watch out for other people we pass so we don't do any damage.
It's a 3.1 mile loop with plenty of side streets and climbing around the neighborhood to add a little diversity. Alot of eye-candy (if you're into that sort of thing
), and nice geography & things to see (the actual Rose Bowl stadium, soccer games, RC airplanes & others).
I'd love to do the GMR thing with you all, but it usually doesn't fit into my training schedule. Maybe sometime in the off-season.
