First night of track racing in two years... next week will be the second.
I've taken the last month pretty well completely off the bike, had some good efforts and decent results last night but not what I was looking for.
As someone said, "Ride a safe wheel, be a safe wheel"
Got that done, had some nice team tactics w/ a new teammate, got some points and when our sponsor unexpectedly showed up trackside we rode in ways to ensure his name got called on the intercom a bunch - he knew it and loved it.
My one grumble: I may never understand why racers crash the sprinter's lane,
and then slow down Kept happening all night long, the sprinter's lane was the #1 best place to be if you wanted to never move up and get pinned/shuffled to the back.
