if you are touched, that is illegal battery, (even just poking you in the chest with a finger during an argument) a crime punishable by time and fine. report it with the description of the vehicle and occupants. it is likely these people will commit the same crime again or another, and possibly escalate to a more harmful crime. "hey we got away with that, let's try this next time". You may not be able to peice everything together but law enforcement will. just because you didn't get the plate # doesn't mean you can't file a complaint/police report. The vehicle may be known to the local law enforcement dept. BTW, not every cop knows the law. when you call or visit the police station, insist on filing a complaint.
