I have a 2009 7.2 FX that I bought new four years ago and have used as a daily commuter (10 miles each way) ever since. They are great bikes, very versatile and I love mine.

I've done tons of upgrades over the years...tires, crank, trekking bars, fenders, rack, chainstay kickstand, etc. The best thing about this bike is you can change things you want a piece at a time and not break the bank.

I will post some pics and some suggestions when I get a chance.

For racks... I would recommend the Topeak MTX system. I use their trunk bag with panniers everyday and it has held up for four years. If you have a kid, I would recommend their baby seat also as it comes with an MTX rack that will take the seat and trunk bag, basket, etc.
