I ride clipless for foot retention on both my fixed gear and the recumbent trike. On the trike, if I have a foot come off the pedal at speed I risk serious injury, and on the FG, retention is critical as well. You like platforms, we get that, but respect others choices as well, and don't be using derogatory terms for those of us that do use clipless.

We do so for our reasons, you use yours for your own reasons. Personally, I like the greater power transfer as well, with clipless that's a gravy benefit.
