I probably shouldn't be posting in this topic because this is flat bar road bike territory, but I'm more replying to giantcfr1's post:

My Colnago Ace flat bar conversion:

I've had this for a few weeks now and the drop bars are probably going to go back on soon so I thought I'd better get some pictures before they did.

As for the flat bar set up I swapped out the Deda El drop bars for a Deda Big Bar to match the Deda El stem. The Big Bar was 660mm wide so I took 55mm of each end. I added Shimano SL-R780 shifters which are the best flat bar shifters I could get with in the Shimano family to complement the 105 group set. Add a couple of all black Shimano R550 brake levers and some Velo grips and I was done.

The Ace comes with a Colnago branded Selle Italia saddle but I chose to ugrade it to a better Selle Italia saddle with a cut-out.

It will probably see some better wheels in the future but I'm happy with the R500's for now, they're maybe just 500g too heavy
