I really like the 4500 so far... but I don't really have anything to compare it to. It's definitely great for me though. It was 2nd on my list, 1st being a Specialized Rockhopper. My experienced bike riding friend deals with a Trek dealer, so I ended up with the 4500 more or less by default. Great LBS, they have really taken care of me.

Rubber mallet huh? Don't give me any ideas!
