Mostly aesthetic reasons. They're too bulky and chunky looking for me. The plastic screams of cheap, the material they use strikes me as the same stuff they use with sterillite storage container lids. Not to mention profile is all too proud of said cage and scrawl a bigger than needed logo on both sides of each.
