Good job!
I can relate somewhat.
I got my hybrid 2 years ago this month.
I'd started off the month with 15 miles the most I'd ever ridden in a day.
On July 2, I put 165mm cranks on my "grocery getter" (86 Rockhopper with rack, fenders and rear folding baskets) and did 30 the next day. The previous longer cranks were giving me too much knee pain.
I was totally spent, but quite pleased.
I kept at it, but the heavy bike was still a drag. I then decided to get a hybrid. Found a 2008 Specialized Globe for $170 at the pawn shop.
Changed the cassette (and picked up another 165mm crank) and started riding.
I did 50.1 the last day of the month with a monthly total of 607. The previous month @ 120 was another PR.
Last summer I spent behind the keyboard doing my findagrave.com stuff and the miles went to zilch.
Broke my tib & fib last Oct., so i'm still rehabbing.
Going take a rest day tomorrow and then ride till I drop Wed. (or when one of my leg parts forces me to quit)
Goal is 50.2 or more, for a pr. If I don't die first, maybe ride my age?
