Don't touch the paint...this goes double if it's a team bike. Another source to contact is cadre.org. If the serial is out of whack, there is a better chance that it's a team bike.

My 91' team bike has plenty of patina and damage to some decals...I wouldn't dream of touching it up. How do you know it's a 91'?
