Well, I made it, my first century. This was a very challenging ride for me, took me 8.5 hours (including breaks). There was very little shade and temps reached the upper 80's.
My outer left knee started bugging me about 40 miles in but as long as I kept my cadence up it never progressed past a dull ache. Got a little nauseous between Echo Lake
and the top of Juniper Pass. I had gone this high recently and was fine so it wasn't the elevation, think I had too much fluid in me.
Brook Forest is hard enough on its own, doing it after going over hwy 103, 75 miles in, was brutal.

Support was great and everyone was very friendly. Overall for the money got a nice jersey and t-shirt and good food, plus some went to charity. Don't know if I'll do it again, but I'm
still sore right now . I know as soon as I recover I'll be itching to get back out and climb.
