Thought this would be a good chance to pop my race report cherry. 30 min, 1km loop in Houston park. Last week (mid pack finish) was first race for me. yesterday, 33 starters, hung in front end of group for most of day. Thunderstorm started 15 minutes in, resulting in the only technical turn getting pretty sketchy. Final lap, two man breakaway going to finish before we catch. Thinking a top 5 finish would be a good result. Move to 3rd position to start final lap. Hit technical corner (500m to go) a little faster due to it being the final lap, guy in front of me washes out, I collide with him and go down. Manage to get up and finish.

Minimal damage done, but still sucks. Hoping for a dry race next week and a decent result!
