If you did 4.6 on your first ride you are starting out in better shape than a lot of us. I did less than a mile and I am not a couch potato. I found out after a few rides that my legs got tired at nearly the same distance every time. What I figured out was that if I just took it easy after they got tired for a little ways and recovered I could go a lot further. I was soon riding several miles and now can do 20 nonstop on a hilly road in 95+heat. I also feel better and my b/p is down. This is after only riding a month and a half. I feel like that by the time cooler weather gets here I will be able to ride as far as I want. Maybe I'm dreaming but I am going to find out
