I live on the outskirts of Eugene, OR. Smack dab in the middle of the "wet" west coast. Plenty of "official" and unofficial trails available for riding. Like the McKenzie River Trail (approx. 30 miles of some of the best riding you will ever find!), and Eugene's Ridgeline Trail (short, but well maintained). Since Eugene was once at the center of the West Coast logging industry, there is an abundance of old logging roads, cat trails, and old fire lines that make for great single and double track rides.
