Actually, we do have an old fashioned cedar post bicycle hitching post in our front yard.
Very nice for other cyclists that drop by and can quickly lean up and lock up at our house.
Also invaluable for pulling in and locking up bikes w/ tag alongs, trailers, loaded panniers, etc.
No scratches to the bicycles paint and picked the right diameter post for u-locks.
Not super high security, but would still require a chainsaw.

If only more bike racks were more accommodating! I swear half the racks I roll up to, I can't get my bike into. What were they designed for? BMX's?
