Return to the Bronx River Bikeway: August 25, 2013

Today (Sunday) was one of those days you just couldn't pass up a nice, easy, quiet bike ride. It was also one of those days my wife was psyched to get on the saddle, so I took her up to Bronxville, where we hopped on the Bronx River Bikeway.

From year to year, I always forget how gorgeous and satisfying this ride is. Yes, our Bethpage Bikeway may someday rival it, but there's nothing like crossing back and forth over streams and waterfalls, stopping for lunch in cool little towns, and ending at the spectacular Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. It's a dinky little 13-mile ride (one-way, with the option to take a train back to the start point), but it's perfect for my wife and a great way to spend a Sunday.

Highly recommended.
