wet west scotland, very much like wet west oregon! good setup bobones. we have similar bikes (trek 2.1). trek was smart and included a fender mount boss on the back of the seat tube. perhaps i should go this route and use my nice bike as the commuter. knobster, i very much like the soma smoothies also. have thought about builiding one up. i ran a beta test yesterday and tried some 28c vittoria randoneurs. they were like riding through mud. i put them up for sale on craigslist! back to the drawing board. i usually run 23c gatorskins, do those in 28 still run pretty fast? i had some conti ultra sports in a 28 for a bit on a beater and they seemed ok.
