When no-one took it, I brought it home and my better half put on new tires and rode it a bit in early spring when the roads were full of gravel. It wasn't a good fit for him though, so now he's planning to sell it. He's put about $65 worth of upgrades on it, some cables, pedals, and new bearings in addition to the tires.

What should we advertise it for? It's rideable as-is and not in bad shape despite it's abandonment, as my husband has repacked the bearings and done other routine maintenance on it.
Cosmetic and mechanical condition are important to assessing value and can mean a $50-$100 difference in pricing. Got any sharp clear daylight photos you can post?
