Identify Dahon Piccolo Date By Serial Number - Help Please?
This bike came free from a neighbor. It's a 4130 steel frame with 16" wheels, newer style Sturmey Archer 3-speed hub and a twist grip shifter. The serial # is DG45H09160 on the BB shell and it's clearly legible.
I've lubricated and worked the joints, repacked the front hub, put on new V-brake pads, new chain and completely replaced the cabling. Waiting on tires from Amazon, I can't satisfactorily test the shifting, but it appears to be working.
Can anyone tell me the year? The serial number doesn't fir the ThorUSA notes on the subject. Thank you in advance. Phil G.
