finally figured out something to do with this 95 Diamondback Apex i've had on the very back burner since it would need a fair amount of money and time to get it how i would want it. so, instead i turned it into a Bike Polo bike last night.. still not totally done but it's ridable
need to shorten the bars and get some grips
ghetto single speed setup.. i want to remove the unused chainrings eventually but a few bolts are stuck (and so are the pedals) i may leave the cassette.. it's nice to be able to switch gears by adjusting the limit screw. i think i've got an ok gear now but i'll see next time i play polo. i've never had any use for granny gears before but on this crankset it's the only ring which isn't trashed.. plus you need a super low gear anyways.. right now it's 22x15
ghetto lock out using zip ties.. stops the fork from compressing and it also gives quicker handling since the effective top tube is steeper. it actually handles really well
