no. the hubs are gentle. forward motion only. the warranty is void if you use them on the street. they are made for the track. i know [165] just got the same hubs that i use, and i hope he is listening, in the internet sense.
do not be afraid of low spoke count if you are under 190 lbs. spokes suck!
