So does that mean they are different after all? Or are they just talking about brakes that mount different from v-brakes? Maybe I am confusing things as usual.
Sounds like that question is referencing caliper brakes. They have long bolts up front to go through the fork crown. The rears have much shorter bolts to go through the brake bridge.
