Bontrager is owned by trek and has been for a while, and trek has a deal with truvativ to make all of bontragers GXP cranks. The reason you cant find any info on them is that they havent updated there website(wont be up dated till closer to `06). If anything i would tend to stay away form them because they are crap. The reason is say this is because there is play between the BB and the spindle of the cranks. They should feel solid and most of the time there is a knocking when you twist the cranks side to side. The only way to fix this is to get a new BB and on rare occasions a new crank. This happens on all of the Bontrager GXP cranks not just the cross.
