Last year there was a gas pipe single speed left at the local mall.
It was in a odd place, locked to a sign on the access road. It stuck out like a sore thumb.
Nice wheels, good tires and looked like it was loved by someone.
I kept an eye on it. When hooligans knocked it over I would stand it up, and if no one
was nearby, I would try to make it look like it was being used.
Wiping dust from the saddle, removing wind blown garbage from the wheels,etc.
It disappeared after five or six weeks.
I hope the owner came back for it.
