I think that my simple is different than your simple. My inner and outer guards were simple to set, then forget. The most important "simple" to me, is the lack of front shifting. I am a lazy overachiever, and less is more when it comes to me and shifting. As far as my DNF, I'm not making a case for, or against, single-rings being more,or less dependable. I just like my odds as it relates to my races.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I had to go to my daughter's fencing class(I **** you not), and then went for a training ride on my 1x11 MTB.
