Actually for me, it sorta depends on the type of jump. If its one of those jumps where the lip is real steep, the gap is small, and the landing is steep, you must lift your rear up, and bring your front down. If its a jump that the lip isnt steep at all, the gap is big, the landing is almost flat, and you hit it going real fast and keep a ton of speed, i suggest doing what you said Madbiker, just go over the lip and sorta bring the bike into you at the lip of the jump. This will let you go fast, clear the landing, and stay alomost level in the air.
