Thanks for the tip. I think this should work well, though I still have to get used to the way it looks. I'm slow to adapt. As luck would have it, I didn't have to cut the housing at all. What you see below is the same length as routed directly to the Valentino RD. And as proof that good things come to those who wait, I hadn't yet cut the period-correct Campagnolo shift cables (gifted by miamijim) which are also a perfect fit with this routing. Meant to be?
