Xmas eve ride and Bings Landing

Great day today in North Florida, 60's clear and sunny, lots and lots of NE winds but they can be an asset if you play it right.

I started at what is becoming a favorite biking place, Bings Landing in the Hammock area of Flagler County.

Located right on A1A (nice bike lanes all along) there is ample free parking under a live Oak canopy and many miles of varied riding trails converge right here.

You have A1A, a newly built off road area that has both nice easy trail rides and miles of technical trails as well. A short ride on A1A south brings you to the 65' high Palm Coast bridge and then into Palm Coast with many, many miles of perfectly maintained paved trails that meander along the water way and along the many lakes and ponds in Palm Coast.

14 miles up A1A is St Augustine and 11 miles south is Flagler Beach, a true Florida Beach town just a few feet from the ocean.

When you get back to the car at Bings Landing there is a first class BBQ restaurant right in the parking lot with seats right on the waterway, there is also a snack bar and bike shop at the trailhead as well as a nicely appointed bike maintenance station right in the parking lot that has tools, a rack and a floor pump. This place is sweet.

Here are a few shots of todays ride.
