I will change out the derailleur to a Suntour . . . possibly a BL or AG or Suntour 7 and a single down tube shifter.
Wow, that's a trip down memory lane for me - I remember this model, Tru-Wel 205 tubing if I recall correctly? Mid range in 1972 but a great ride nevertheless. I'd go with the gumwall tyres, Suntour rear mech, new chain and bar tape - then you'll be good to go! Nice catch.
