For the cold, I use a pair of neoprene gloves I picked up at Walmart. They are fleece lined and do a good job at keeping my hands warm so long as it's not to cold. I wouldn't chance them below 40F or so. They keep the water out but are no where near breathable. As Leisesturn stated, it's my jacket that keeps water out of the cuffs. These gloves have a somewhat longer cuff, so I put my gloves on prior to my jacket and I'm good to go.
