I use a pair of Gore Bike wear Windstopper gloves - they are water resistant, but not water proof (I am sure you could find a Gore-tex pair for that). I got mine at a LBS in Portland, OR while visiting there (figured they know rain in Portland). With our dry, dry winter in CA I haven't gotten to test them in heavy rain yet.
