They updated their fb today saying there have been.lots of delays due to local government (which seems fishy to me) and weather (slightly less fishy.).

"We've been getting a lot of questions about construction updates and the launch of our website. We wish that we could give you the news that we are opening the velodrome next week; however, both local government delays and mother-nature make that impossible. Our full website will give you a better look into the construction process as well as the progress. We are currently putting some finishing touches on the website, but look out for the official launch early next week!"
I'm looking forward to the updated website. From what I've been able to dig up, it looks like there is a structure built on the site of the velodrome. Whether there's any track at all inside is info I've been unable to find. I would assume that once it's actually *built*, there's a damn fine chance of it coming into use.
Anyone in the area? Anyone in the know?
