Tire Rim Width Recommendations Chart
I think Bill Kapaun is right. I found the same ID of the rim. According to this chart, which is just bit conservative from what I have read, you are on the narrow side. I'm willing to bet if we overlayed the Bikes Direct chart with this one, we would have a match.
