Exactly. That's why I'm wondering what's worth keeping and what isn't. Heck, my understanding is the real "rider's value" in a Super Sport is the frame anyway, and they put "meh" steel components on it from the factory. I think both derailleurs will end up on Ye Olde Junk Pyle; the front has a broken cage and the rear is ugly low-end Shimano.

After a cursory cleaning I found a Suntour Winner Pro under the grime. That doesn't suck.
