I swapped my spindles a couple weeks ago and it was super easy. Followed these instructions-
http://www.rouesartisanales.com/article-2099744.html Some people have had issues getting the torx screw out, or recommend heating it up with a soldering iron...I didn't have any issues with either of my pedals without heating them. I've read that if you're installing new spindles in used pedals, the bearings can be notchy...so you may want to plan for that. I got my spindles from a place in Michigan for $63 shipped.
