Both the Trek FX2 and the Jamis Coda Sport currently list new at the same price. The Trek is an aluminum frame while the James is chromoly (steel). I think you should try and ride both and see which one you like better. My uninformed opinion is that the Jamis is slightly overpriced, but if the Trek is still all the original components, you might have to replace some sooner than with the Jamis and it might be a wash.
