the right side , fixed cup needs to be quite tight ...maybe get the tools for the left side ,
so you can remove and clean and re grease the bearings frequently
to preserve your investment in that classic part.

But a shop may have both one of those fixed cup tools Plus an additional one
to hold the wrench on the 2 flats firmly ..

otherwise they do slip off a lot , and it is harder to get it tight enough..

(though the pedal-wrench on the other end comes in Handy .. )
