it looks like the leather "skirt" (that hangs over the rails) has been flexed on one side, but not the other. This could be just the grain of the leather, or it could have gotten bent out at some point in the production or packing process.
Whatever the case, the "skirt" part of the leather doesn't indicate that the part you sit on will be asymmetrical.

I'd recommend you ride it and break it in like a normal Brooks saddle.
