Great choice, I was going to recommend my Shimano C24 (of course carbon-aluminium can be done right), but Fulcrum 3s are also great as all around wheels (Shimano and Campagnolo/Fulcrum make great wheels/groupsets, with just the right amount of "bling")...
And seriously, good wheels are about much more than just weight or aesthetics (reliability, hubs, better materials, etc.)...
