I live in Asheville and know the area pretty well, you can PM me for any specific info. The town mtn area is pretty nice, but you need some $$$$ to buy a house there. Living in the city of Asheville is all around expensive compared to living in Buncombe county or beyond. The town mtn area isn't really within easy/quick biking distance to alot of trails though. OK road riding , but not Mtn. For me living on the southwest side of town is optimal as far as ease of accessing bent creek/pisgah/parkway etc...
